Brian Barefoot
Brian Barefoot, Director, was at PaineWebber, Inc. from 1994 to 2001, serving as Executive Vice President and Director of Investment Banking, a member of its Board of Directors, and President and Chief Executive Officer of its subsidiary, PaineWebber International. Brian served as president of Babson College, one of the nation’s leading management schools, from July, 2001, until he retired in June, 2008. Brian currently is a Director, member of the Audit Committee, and Chair of the Finance and Business Operations Committee of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
Bill Pocklington
Bill Pocklington, Director, leads sales and business development for the Eastern Region of McKesson Health Solutions' Financial Management and Network Management product lines. He was a founder of Portico Systems, which was acquired by McKesson, and led sales and business development, including strategic alliances. Prior to joining Portico Systems, Mr. Pocklington led sales, business development, consulting services and marketing for more than twenty years for Strategic Management Group, Inc., a highly successful computer-based business simulation software company. He graduated from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in finance and accounting.
David Feffer
David Feffer, Advisor, has been a healthcare executive for 39 years with a focus on finance, planning and delivery of healthcare services. In 1983 he co-founded Health Incentives, the first telephonic nurse decision support company and served as its CEO. In 1993 he joined Aetna Health Plans to found and head Informed Health, an independent subsidiary company of Aetna. In 1997, David joined Health Dialog as a partner and Senior Vice President with responsibilities for development of products and services, business development and strategy.
Kurt de Grosz
Kurt de Grosz, Advisor, has 20 years of progressive insurance industry and software industry experience as a sales professional, operations executive, executive officer, founder and CEO. In 1998, Kurt co-founded BenefitPoint, Inc., the first web-based application for customer relationship management and procurement in the employee benefits industry, and served as its CEO. In 2006, Kurt led the sale of BenefitPoint to Vertafore, Inc., a $300 million insurance software and services provider with over 15,000 clients worldwide, where he served on the executive team. In 2009, Kurt founded Insurance Leadership Network, a search fund focused on insurance software and distribution. Kurt holds a BA from UCLA and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
Michael W. Wood
Michael W. Wood, Advisor, is a nationally recognized expert in health and productivity management for employers. He has 35 years of experience as a public health educator, entrepreneur, product developer, speaker and consultant to large companies, venture capital firms, health plans and non-profit organizations. He is an industry pioneer in consumer health as the co-founder of CareWise, the nation’s first commercial, consumer health, decision support service. Currently a consultant for Towers Watson, Michael provides strategic consulting to companies with large, complex needs to improve employee health and control health care cost trends. He is an appointed member of the Institute for Health, Productivity and Human Capital for the National Business Group on Health, and a regular interviewee of national publications.
